Sasha Elenko grew up on Vashon Island, graduated from Vashon Island High School in 2018, and went on to study philosophy at the University of Chicago, graduating in 2022. He then served briefly as a volunteer English teacher with the Peace Corps in Ecuador, until, by a twist of fate, an injury sent him back to the United States, where Solutionary Rail stood waiting to capture his imagination.
Mr. Elenko’s work with Solutionary Rail, and in particular on the Reconnect America podcast, has inspired him with a deep appreciation of the power of collaboration, storytelling, and boldness of vision in making a better world.
