Our friends at Public Rail Now (PRN) have created an easy way for you to anonymously voice your opposition to the proposed Union Pacific-Norfolk Southern rail mega-merger. Watch PRN's video or read their announcement below, then click the link to see their suggestions for what to write, and submit your own anonymous comment:
Last August, Public Rail Now launched an easy and anonymous public comment form that railroad workers and other communities of interest can use to voice their opposition to the UP-NS merger. The STB allows for public comment, but requires commenters to register as a party of record before they can submit their statements. It’s a tedious process that clearly was not developed with individual commenters in mind. So, Public Rail Now registered as a party of record so you don’t have to! You can use Public Rail Now’s public comment form to submit comments, and Public Rail Now, as a party of record, will send them to the STB. Just go to Public Rail Now’s “Submit a Comment: Oppose the UP-NS Merger” page, follow the steps, submit your comments using the STB Public Comment Form, and you’re good to go. Again, all responses submitted to the STB using this comment form will be anonymous. This form was crafted to protect railroad workers from employer retaliation, which is all too common in the rail industry.
