Rosalia to Pasco Corridor - Take Action

Solutionary Rail asks for your help to build momentum for our Southeast Washington Transportation Resilience Project -- because Trains can Save Salmon!

Our Rosalia to Pasco Shortline Access Corridor is an elegant path toward transportation resilience in SE Washington that achieves the critical transportation goals for connectivity, capacity and competition.

Some ways to take action are:

1. We need Governor Ferguson to move forward with creating the infrastructure that can replace barging on the Lower SnakeContact the Governor and ask him to utilize the State-owned corridors in SE Washington and start developing Solutionary Rail's Rosalia to Pasco Shortline Access Corridor.  Specifically, he should:

  • Read our Rosalia to Pasco Shortline Access Corridor Study and meet with the Solutionary Rail Team that crafted it.
  • Begin the process of increasing connectivity for its implementation by doing a Benefit-Cost Analysis of the proposed Corridor.
  • Set up a rail office separate from WSDOT and establish a dedicated source of funding for rail projects.
  • Stress that action is urgently needed and can happen independent of other processes (such as the $5-million WSDOT study that won't be completed until December 2026.)

2. Write a Letter to the Editor of your local paper, encouraging the Governor to invest in transportation resilience in SE Washington, bringing attention to Solutionary Rail's proposal. Try to tie the issue to recent news, if you can.

3. Join our next Solutionary Rail Hive Call to get involved with the SE Washington Transportation Resilience Team. Hive Call info is on our Calendar.
