Here's an article about a plan for ultra high speed ground transportation (UHSGT) -- not the same as Solutionary Rail's plan for Higher Speed passenger and freight rail -- connecting Vancouver, B.C., Seattle, and Portland, plus several cities in between. Its purpose is to obviate the need for an additional runway at SeaTac International airport, un-clog the interstate, and help createa decarbonized transportation infrastructure. According to a recent cost analysis, it might be feasible. I am wondering how Solutionary Rail's plan to electrify existing rail corridors for freight as well as passenger transportation can be integrated with plans like this ultra high speed Cascadia line.
