To meet them, we must build relationships with each other and our Mother Earth that will guide us through this time of turmoil and upheaval. \n\nLet’s start Saturday, April 27, gathering at City Hall to connect, engage and map out our collective plans for this third year of our 10-year campaign for a Compassionate Seattle. Engage with others doing similar work and discover ways to coordinate \"mutual self-interest\" and advance the work you are already doing. \n\nThe Day of Action at City Hall will build synergy to produce results not obtainable by any of one of us on our own. There are so many amazing people, organizations and resources that exist in our community - take a look for yourself at the Seattle HeartMap. Let’s weave these resources together for unprecedented unified action. Join us in formulating plans for 2013 including the following areas:\n\n•\tEnvironmental Justice and Stewardship - coal trains, pipelines, tankers, ports, Salish Sea Marine Sanctuary - engage with Idle No More, Protect the Sacred, Cascadian Center, Salish Sea Alliance, Hereditary Chief Phil Lane Jr., Rueben George, Sweetwater Nannauck, Salish Sea Foundation\n\n•\tYouth-Led Media and Digital Storytelling - \"power to the story,\" citywide stories of what’s working - engage with What’s Good 206, Social Moguls, We Day, New Stories, Stories of Compassion award winners\n\n•\tCulture of Peace and Justice - peacemaking, engage with Compassion Response, Compassionate Listening, Restorative Circles\n\n•\t2013 Compassion Games: Survival of the Kindest - competitive altruism, coopetition or cooperative competition, Game it Forward, XBox\n\nBeginning 9/11 through 9/21 Seattle will once again go “head to head” (and heart to heart) with Louisville to compete in the Compassion Games: Survival of the Kindest. This year we are joined by New York City and California! WE NEED YOUR HELP COMPETING IN THE COMPASSION GAMES\n\nTo RSVP visit www.compassionateseattle.org or Facebook. We suggest a donation of $10 to cover the cost of lunch that will be provided. No one will be turned away. Seattle City Hall: 600 4th Ave, Bertha Knight Landes Room. Questions?
