Friends,
I've asked Larry Roth to walk us through his recent essay/reflection on Hydrogen and Solutionary Rail. It is an exploration of energy capture technologies, strategies for transition, and the connections between Solutionary Rail and agriculture. It seems to me to connects the dots in a way that helps evolve the SR approach. I'm very interested to hear your thoughts as well. His essay is HERE for your review.
We'll also provide an update on coalition building efforts and engagement with agencies and advocacy groups and hear from you about any of the following:
- We have news to share about the team and hopefully hear about what you are doing or are interested in doing in the coming months. What opportunities do you see?
- How can best folks reach out to elected representatives and influence groups to address the main shortcomings of the Climate Action Plan, i.e. long haul freight decarbonization? {This will be important for improving any future Biden plan or any GND effort.)
- Are there post election opportunities to learn from and build upon the La Crosse effort and the Northern Transcon?
- How might we make some hay from the BNSF "Premature Electrification" excuse?
